Press Briefing 'The Future of Danish Defence’

Members of the Danish Parliament will present their parties’ priortities on Denmark’s future defence policy.

The International Press Centre (IPC) in Copenhagen is delighted to host the press briefing ‘The Future of Danish Defence’ on Wednesday 20 April 2022.

At the briefing a panel of Danish MPs will present and discuss their parties’ priorities on Denmark’s future defence- and security policy.

The presentations and following Q&A is expected to reflect the implications of the war in Ukraine, the Parliamentary negotiations on the increased Danish defence budget towards 2033 and the upcoming referendum on the Danish EU-defence opt-out.

The panelists are:

Mogens Jensen, Social Democrats – defence spokesman
Martin Lidegaard, Danish Social Liberal Party – defence spokesman
Niels Flemming Hansen, Conservative People’s Party – defence spokesman
Søren Espersen, Danish People’s Party – foreign policy spokesman
