Lt. Gen. Michael A. Guetlein on What’s Next for Space Systems Command

May 18, 2022 • 9:00 – 10:00 am EDT
CSIS is a vaccinated facility. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce potential risk of exposure in our facility, CSIS requires proof of vaccination from all staff and guests.

As more countries around the globe create military branches focused on space, the United States leads by example. U.S. Space Systems Command delivers resilient space capabilities to defend the nation in the contested space domain and is the premier space capability delivery organization of the U.S. Space Force and the Department of Defense.

Please join the CSIS Aerospace Security Project and Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group at CSIS Headquarters on Wednesday, May 18 at 9:00 a.m. ET for a conversation between Lieutenant General Michael A. Guetlein and CSIS’s Cynthia Cook on the future focus of the Space Systems Command. Lt. Gen. Guetlein serves as Commander of the Space Systems Command as he manages the research, design, development, acquisition, launch, and sustainment of satellites and their associated command and control systems.

This event is made possible by general support to CSIS.
