The Capital Cable #57: China & the Two Koreas, Party Congress and Decisive Decade

Mr. Jonathan Cheng, China bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal joined us for a discussion on China’s relations with the two Koreas, the 20th National Congress of the CCP, and the recently released National Security Strategy by the United States.

The program was moderated by Amb. Mark Lippert, with Dr. Victor Cha and Dr. Sue Mi Terry, and featured Mr. Jonathan Cheng, China bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Cheng oversees a team of more than two dozen correspondents and researchers in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore and New York with responsibility for the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. Previously, Mr. Cheng was the Seoul bureau chief for the Journal, running coverage of the Korean peninsula, including North Korea and South Korean politics and business.
