The Senate stands adjourned until 11:00am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #31, Stephen Miran, of New York, to be Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers.

 

At approximately 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Miran nomination.

 

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Miran nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #34, Keith Sonderling, of Florida, to be Deputy Secretary of Labor.

 

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 5:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Sonderling nomination.

 

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on the following:

1.      Executive Calendar #30 William Pulte, of Florida, to be Director of Federal Housing Finance Agency

2.      Executive Calendar #32 Jeffrey Kessler, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security

3.      Cal. #18, S.331, HALT Fentanyl Act
