Lindsey Graham says Mark Robinson allegations make him ‘unfit to serve’ if true

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) joined MSNBC’s “Meet the Press”, where he said the allegations against North Carolina gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson would make him “unfit to serve” if they are true.

“The charges are beyond unnerving,” Graham said. “If they’re true, he’s unfit to serve for office. If they’re not true, he has the best lawsuit in the history of the country for libel.”

Late last week, CNN released a damning report about Robinson, the sitting lieutenant governor of North Carolina.

North Carolina Democrat on his opponent: ‘Robinson exists because Donald Trump has lifted him up’

North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein (D), the state’s Democratic candidate for governor, said in an interview that candidates should be held accountable for continuing to support his opponent, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R), after a bombshell CNN report was published last Thursday.

“Look, Robinson exists because Donald Trump has lifted him up throughout, and candidates up and down the ballot in North Carolina need to have, they need to be held accountable for supporting Mark Robinson and being part of his entire campaign,” Stein told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union,” when asked what he makes of Robinson’s absence from former President Trump’s rally in North Carolina on Saturday.

Sen. Cotton says Robinson ‘owes the people of North Carolina more answers’ following ‘concerning’ allegations

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said on Sunday that Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R) of North Carolina owes his constituents an explanation following the “concerning” allegations outlined in a recent bombshell CNN report.

In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” anchor Jake Tapper pressed Cotton on the recent CNN report about the North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate and about past public comments Robinson has made about Jews.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) said Sunday that the allegations against North Carolina Republican gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson are “great news” for Democrats.

Fetterman joined MSNBC’s “Meet the Press” where he was asked by host Kristen Welker about former President Trump’s endorsement of Robinson and if it’s fair for voters to judge a candidate based on who they endorse.

Gretchen Whitmer calls Trump ‘just deranged’ after weekend comments on women and abortion

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) said on Sunday former President Trump is “just deranged” after he said women won’t be thinking about abortion if he’s elected in November.

“That’s just ludicrous,” Whitmer, a co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign, said in an interview on “State of the Union” with CNN’s Jake Tapper about Trump’s remarks.

Ohio Democrat tells Walz to ‘be yourself’ ahead of VP debate

Former Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) said that Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) should “be himself” in his upcoming debate against Republican challenger Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio.).

Ryan, who debated Vance in Ohio’s 2022 Senate race, joined NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday,” where he offered advice for Walz ahead of the Oct. 1 vice presidential candidate debate. Ryan conceded the senate race to Vance.
